As noted in the news section, police have been using robots (in either bomb disposal or SWAT operations) for some time. What other functions might they serve for police?
What happens when computer viruses attack the common house hold robot that will surely be coming in the near future? Will robots attack? If a robot is caught selling crack on the street corner, do you arrest the robot or the person controlling it? I know this seems a bit of a stretch, but I strongly believe these types of of crimes are not far off at all. Cybercrime has taught us that the bad guys adopt new technologies with ease. What will the first generation of robotic crime look like?
